Writing with Umbrellas

in Public Space

Delhi, 2013

I conceived and executed this project with two colleagues while employed as an architect at the archi i platform. As the culmination of Step 6 of the Delhi 2050 process, this was a temporary public art project in the city. We took to the streets and public places of Delhi to write keywords of thought about the city; about things missing, things enjoyed, things desired. As public interventions, these conversation starters got citizens to think and question. The sites were chosen as very visible spots at locations including iconic landmarks, everyday sidewalks and neighbourhood parks in the city.
